Augmented Reality and Stop Motion Animation for Young Learners

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Augmented Reality (AR) is one way that iPads and computers are fundamentally altering the classroom landscape Put simply, augmented reality refers using technology to layer information into a real-world image through the medium of an iPad. This ground-breaking technology is especially effective in classrooms with young learners because it makes learning more engaging. See examples of how I have used augmented reality apps, and learn how to make a variety of objects and images around your classroom come alive through an iPad or mobile device. You will also get the chance to create using Aurasma on your iPad or Aurasma Studio on your computer.

Next, we will see some examples of student work using stop motion animation. Finally, we will have some time to work in groups and try out creating your own animation.
