Peace Corps: Educating Educators Globally

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Peace Corps offers opportunities for educators to live, learn and work with a community overseas for 27 months. From working in primary schools to universities, educators can bring their skills overseas, and then return to the U.S. with new cross-cultural competencies, awareness, and resourcefulness. Peace Corps also offers a World Wide Schools program, connecting U.S. classrooms with classrooms in the developing countries in which Peace Corps Volunteers serve. Come learn about both of these opportunities with Peace Corps Representative Katrina Deutsch, who served as a high school English teacher in Nicaragua for 3 years.
